I can't believe that it's been 2 weeks since this little guy was born. In some ways it feels like it was just yesterday... then in others I feel like he's always been here.
I think it's harder yet to believe that 2 weeks and a day or 2 ago, I was still pregnant and feeling (at times) like the baby would never come. Nicely, he waited and gave us the fair together as a family of 5!
I have more pictures from the end of last week and today. I hope Josh will get them edited and ready for uploading tonight. Although he's not feeling the best himself, so I'm not going to force it!
When we were getting groceries on Saturday he said his ear was starting to hurt. By the time we ate lunch he said he wanted to go to the Dr right away - I knew he was feeling pretty darn bad if he was willing to go to the Dr at all! In he went - out he came with a prescription. The poor guy has a perforated ear drum (right) and he's got a sinus cold as well, so that's adding pressure in his ears.
How he was walking around with a perforated ear drum, I have no idea!
Anyways, more photos of Levi will be up as soon as I can get them here!

Things are going pretty good here.
Levi is 9 days old today. Over a week old. Wow.
Adjusting is going fairly well. The kids are getting more and more used to him being around and in the house every day.
Yesterday I took Levi to Isaac's nursery school for him to show all his friends - a big hit! The kids loved seeing him and Isaac was so proud to show his baby brother.
And also yesterday the older kids went to Kenosee (water slide park in Saskatchewan) for a K-4 field trip. They had a really great time - Ruthie announced first thing through the door "We need to go there on summer vacation!!!" - but were obviously very tired and sunned out!
Today Isaac had his nursery school graduation - he didn't graduate himself, he has one more year of nursery school before starting K, but the "coming back" students still get to take part. He was very happy about it, although it does mean the last day of nursery school... I'm unsure how that will be next week when he really realizes he's not going back until after the summer.
And tomorrow I'm taking Levi to the big kids' school for their show-and-tell. Both kids want to show their new baby brother off to their friends.
I have been trying to take pictures every day. Josh is going to try to get some more finished up, tonight or tomorrow night, and I'll post a whole bunch more new ones - I cannot believe how much Levi has changed in just the short week he's been here with us. He looks, to me anyways, like a different baby than the wee little newborn he first was. Just amazing.

Very bright eyed...
worked hard to get his thumb in there for a suck...
but that really tuckered him out, so he napped all wrapped up for a while...
cute baby boy...
tiny baby feet...
relaxing after a diaper change...
more cuddles with big brother Zechie...
All the kids love to hold Levi, and they all ask quite often. Isaac doesn't last terribly long with it before being "done with him", and Ruthie does pretty well, too. But Zech will just sit and hold him forever - this time (in the pic above) he held him for over half an hour - a long time for Zech to sit still.
